The Problem

DevAds is a plugin that embeds advertising directly inside code editors. When a developer writes code, the extension surfaces relevant product ads in the editor UI and tracks interactions. The system records clicks and usage events, then calculates monetary rewards based on predefined payout rules, crediting the developer's account. It communicates with a backend service via an API to fetch ad inventory, report impressions, and handle payout processing.
