Static sites and JAMstack apps often lack a backend to receive form data, requiring developers to provision servers, databases, and SMTP setups while also managing spam, file storage, and third‑party integrations. FormSubmit eliminates that overhead by providing a single endpoint that handles delivery, spam filtering, file handling, and forwarding to external services.
FormSubmit is a hosted service that receives HTML form submissions and forwards them to email, webhooks, Slack, Discord, Google Sheets and other endpoints. Users keep the form markup on their site and set the form's action attribute to a unique URL provided by FormSubmit; the service stores submissions in Postgres, encrypts integration secrets, and applies layered spam defenses including honeypots, timing checks, content heuristics and optional captchas. Files attached to submissions are saved in private object storage and accessed via signed links. The platform also offers a visual drag‑and‑drop builder that can export code for dozens of front‑end frameworks, and a hosted form page for sites without their own HTML. All features, including email notifications, autoresponders, domain allow‑listing and configurable data retention, are available on every plan without additional add‑ons.
