It removes the need to pause, rewind, and manually note exercises when following online workout videos, and it automatically logs the activity to health data.
Reel Motion is an iOS app that turns workout videos from YouTube, Instagram or TikTok into guided exercise routines. The user pastes a video link, the app parses the video, extracts the move sequence and creates illustrated frames for each step. During a session the app shows the current illustration, runs a timer, and plays a coach voice that announces the next action while music continues. Voice commands (“start”, “next”, “done”) let the user control playback without touching the phone, which stays on a stand. Finished workouts are recorded in Apple Health via HealthKit and sync across iPhone and iPad. A routine library lets users import community workouts or build new ones, with unlimited video imports and redraws. Family Sharing supports up to six users on one subscription.
