Yap MCP is a free, open source MCP server (MIT) that lets Claude, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf transcribe local audio and video files entirely on your computer with NVIDIA Parakeet TDT v3. 25 European languages are detected automatically, timestamps are optional, and nothing is uploaded: no API key and no account. Also ships a yap-transcribe command.
