What aspect ratio does Product Hunt use?

Product Hunt and WonderLaunch require gallery images and thumbnails to be a 16:9 aspect ratio, with a recommended resolution of 1270x760 pixels.

If you upload a standard desktop screenshot (which is often 16:10) or a mobile screenshot (which is 9:16), their system will automatically center-crop it. This often cuts off important UI elements, text, and ruins your presentation.

How does this image padder work?
